Membership Information

  • NCBC does not accept cash or checks for new memberships nor renewal fees
  • New memberships applied for on January 1 through September 30 will expire December 31 of the same year
  • New memberships applied for on October 1 through December 31 will expire December 31 of the following year
  • You must be a member in good standing to have voting rights
  • "Address" is a required field when completing the membership form; please enter the address of the court rather than a personal address
 

All payments are final.  NCBC does not provide refunds for membership signups nor renewals, event registrations, or other misc. charges, unless expressly authorized.  Please carefully review any charge(s) and be sure you know what you are paying for.

Lifetime Member


A lifetime membership is available for Clerks of Court, Deputy Clerks and Emeritus members. Lifetime members never pay annual dues and have voting rights for life. The one time cost is $500 for a Clerk of Court and $150 for a Deputy Clerk or Emeritus member. We thank those who have already renewed as Lifetime Members. Deputy Clerk (General Member)


This membership is available to active employees of a United States Court. The annual membership fee is $15. This is a voting membership. (Also, see Lifetime Member Category)

Clerk of Court (General Member)


This membership is available to active Clerks of a United States Court. The annual membership fee is $50. This is a voting membership. (Also, see Lifetime Member Category)

Emeritus Member


This membership is available to past employees who have retired or resigned from federal judiciary service. The annual membership fee is $15. This is a voting membership. (Also, see Lifetime Member Category)

Associate Member


An Associate membership is available to active employees of the federal judiciary who do not qualify for membership as a general member.  The annual membership fee is $25. This is a non-voting membership.

Dates for Memberships and Renewals

 

Annual membership runs from January 1-December 31 of each year

 

Membership renewals begin October 1 of each year

 

 

In order to participate in member appreciation week activities, to be allowed early registration for the annual conference and to get the reduced registration price for the annual conference, member must be in good standing by January 31.
